The St. George Business Alliance Board of Directors, has been cautiously optimistic that by early May we would be moving past this pandemic, unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. Given that schools (as of now) are closed through April 30th, the Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel this year’s Welcome Aboard Business Expo & Job Fair.
Alliance is pleased to announce that it plans to award one ($1,000) scholarship to a graduating high school senior from the Town of St. George in the spring of 2020. The student and one parent must be full-time residents of St. George for the last two full school years. At the time of application, the student must be accepted by and planning to attend an accredited college, university, business or trade school in the fall of 2020.
The deadline for applications has been extended until June 30, 2020. Application packets are available in the St. George Town Office, at the Jackson Memorial Library in Tenants Harbor, and from guidance counselors at high schools attended by St. George students.
